LESBIANS NEED LIGHT TOO

Martha and I had lunch with Jasmine this past Saturday. She went home with a boy who lives about 2 ½ hours away from us. Good lord I miss her. She appears to be feeling better and I did not notice the cough that had been plaguing her. Hard to believe that she is almost done with her Freshman year of college.

The boy lives in a very small town near not-much-of-anything PA. We had been there before so we parked at the local diner and went thrifting. What else do lesbians do in a small, primarily republican town except thrift and maybe, what recruit right? Of course, that makes COMPLETE sense. ("Hey where are the white women at?") Apparently so. At least that is what the gossip was about with Martha and me. I just love it when my reputation paves the freaky way so that I can never, ever have a normal experience with typical small town folks. On the other hand, maybe that was normal. Jesus.

Whatever. I found a 1950's Sputnik type lamp that just screamed at me to help get it the fuck out of there. I sweet-talked Miss Martha into buying it for me and off we went for a little lunch and graveyard photo shooting. Small fucked-up towns are the best photo ops, just don't talk to anyone that is still living, is what I always say. I shot film and should have a post up by the end of the week. The lamp is now in our "lesbian bedroom" across from our big fat "lesbian bed" and it looks fabulous.

I have stopped talking my hive meds. At some point, it had to happen. Technically, they are gone. Oh sure, I have a few patches and I by no means feel normal. Everyday my fingers become tingly and the tip of my tongue goes numb after three-o'clock in the afternoon but no one seems to know what is causing any of it. Now I am just waiting to see, well, what will happen. Hopefully, not one damn thing. It has been three days but I probably will not feel free of all of that craziness for at least another week. I just wish I could sleep. Every night I wake up around 2:00 and I am stone cold awake until 4:30. This has been going on for about, Christ I don't know, two weeks maybe. I am not really tired either but I am quite the crank ass during the day. Yes, more then normal and there is a difference.
